For contemporary craft, start with Melted Visage, a large molten-copper exhibition running until 31 October. The paid Echoes of Dunhuang exhibition runs until 7 October, while the paid Giants Awaken dinosaur exhibition continues until 15 October.
The museum's September family programme continues on selected dates to 27 September, but the official page now marks advance registration for its advertised bookable sessions as closed. Some weekend heritage making was advertised for on-site participation; confirm availability before travelling specifically for an activity.
The museum is at 100 Zhongshu Road, south of Taihu Square. Normal opening hours are 09:00–17:00 Tuesday to Sunday, with last admission at 16:30. It is closed on Mondays except public holidays.
