A Taste of Autumn looks at the place of crab in Jiangnan life, from archaeological evidence of crab eating more than 5,000 years ago to seasonal dining, poetry and symbolism. The exhibition explains how the autumn crab became associated with refined leisure, examination success and prosperity, while also presenting the practical wisdom behind eating with the seasons.

The exhibition runs from 1 October 2026 to 17 January 2027 in Gallery 1 at Wuxi Museum. General museum admission is free. The official page does not identify a separate charge for this exhibition, but visitors should confirm current access arrangements before travelling.
